Brownies

I don’t usually put desserts on this blog, mainly because they are mostly more complicated to make than the main dishes that I’m posting. But brownies are probably the easiest and quickest dessert, so I thought it would be a good dessert recipe to add. This is my mom’s recipe, and every time I’ve made it it takes about 35-40 minutes to complete, but the results are well worth it. You’ll need these ingredients to make brownies:

  • 4 oz unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil (vegetable oil is best)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

The first thing you need to do is to preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease a 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Once that is done, crack your 4 eggs into a mixing bowl and add the oil. Whisk until everything is mixed, and then add all your other ingredients. Mix until everything is consistent and smooth. Pour batter into your pan and bake for 18-20 minutes at 350 degrees until the middle is cooked, but still soft and moist. If you want, serve with ice cream, or you can just eat the brownies on their own. Either way, they’re quick, easy, and delicious.
