I can’t remember where I found this recipe, but I found it on the internet one night when I had pork chops to cook, but no idea how to prepare them with what I had in the kitchen at the time. This is a very simple recipe, and the results are delicious. I even forgot to take a picture for this blog before I started eating! All you need to do is make a rub for the pork chops and then fry them in a little bit of olive oil. Here’s what you need:
- 4 pork chops
- brown sugar
- garlic powder
- olive oil
To start this recipe you need to make your pork rub. In a small bowl, mix equal parts chipotle powder and brown sugar, along with 1 tsp of garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix the rub together and then rub it onto both sides of your pork chops. Let them sit for 10 minutes. Heat 2 tbs of olive oil in a large frying pan on medium high heat. Add pork chops to the pan and fry for about 5-6 minutes on each side, until the meat no longer squishes if you press it with a utensil. Remove from heat and serve with rice.
